Today’s Holy Hustle Review
Work Hard
Well, today was a bit of a bust in the “work hard” category. I checked out a local meeting of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) this morning and didn’t realize how long it would last. Right about two hours, by the way. Then, a mentor of mine – who I haven’t seen in quite a while, actually – was there and wanted to take me to lunch afterwards. Awesome! …but not what I was planning on. So, I didn’t get back home until around 2pm.
And then, to be completely honest, I fought a lack of motivation to do anything productive.
So…I didn’t.
At least, for about an hour. Then, I did at least do the following.
BJD Photography
I finished the last handful of edits on the newborn images! My husband is working on two special edits that I don’t yet have strong enough Photoshop skills to do myself tonight. Once those are done, it’s just doing a final check for skin imperfections and other quick clean ups. And then?! I’ll get them uploaded to the online gallery and send them on to my client!
Just Your Average Jo
I’m doing today’s blog post! That’s gotta count for something, right? Right?!
Social Club Sponsor
We have our weekly club meeting this evening so I’ll leave for that in a few minutes and probably won’t be home for a couple of hours.
Rest Well
Worship
BSF is an international organization that holds weekly Bible studies for men, women and children. They provide weekly lessons for attendees to work through each day and then they come together once a week to discuss the lessons and listen to a teaching. I went through one lesson while in college and enjoyed it. Over the years since, I’ve thought about BSF off and on and decided to check it out again in this new season as a way to ensure I’m doing some personal Bible study.
I also forgot to mention yesterday that I started a different series called 21 Days of Prayer for Your Business. I haven’t yet done today’s video, but hope to complete it by the end of the night.
Connecting with Others
The impromptu lunch with my friend/mentor was wonderful. I am always so encouraged and inspired to grow spiritually and personally after conversations with her. We were together for about two hours and I hope we can get together again soon.
Holy Hustle?
Yea, I think I missed the mark today. But, I have two more days this week so…here’s to hoping for better focus, discipline and progress during them!
